Disconnect the battery
If you have a Bosch icon wiper blade, it is time to disconnect the battery. To disconnect the battery, first unscrew the two screws that hold the cover in place. Lift off the cover and set it aside. There are two connectors on each side of the wiper arm – one black and one red. The black connector goes to the battery, and the red connector goes to the motor. Unplug both connectors.
Remove the screws on the arms
Step 1: Unscrew the two screws on each arm.
Step 2: Lift up the arms and remove them from the windshield.
Step 3: Place the arms on a clean surface and spray some WD-40 onto the pads.
Step 4: Rub the pads against each other until they are lubricated.
Step 5: Replace the screws on the arms and reattach them to the windshield.
Disconnect the wire harness
Step One: Disconnect the wire harnesses from both the wiper motor and the connectors on the side of the car.
Step Two: Remove the wiper arm.
Step Three: Loosen the bolts that hold the blade onto the arm.
Step Four: Pull off the blade. It should come off easily if it’s not stuck on something.
Step Five: Install a new blade by following instructions that came with your new wiper blades. Be sure to align it correctly so that it engages with the arm properly. Tighten bolts gently until snug, then retighten them once in place.

Install the blades in reverse order
There’s a good reason to install the blades in reverse order: the first in line is usually the tightest. That’s because when one blade rubs against another, friction sparks and heat builds up.
